Leap Year*

The time has come.
It is time for sacrifice.
It is time we sacrifice.

We are afraid.
We are very afraid.

Time has not changed
the superstition of science,
the science of superstition.
Same rituals.
Different rules.

We are still afraid.
We are still very afraid.

Numbers keep us in orbit.
Numbers keep us in line.
Numbers keep us alive.

We are still afraid of him.
We are still very afraid of him.

We sacrifice time for you.
We sacrifice numbers for you.
And in time, all we are are numbers.

*Yes, I am aware that a leap year is the addition of one more day. Just read the fucking poem.
Thanks,
from the Management.
